Returning a defective product
Hi!
I have a problem with a seller on Ebay and need some help. The company sent me a reborn doll and it arrived smashed and defective. I made the seller an offer to buy another doll and pay half price in exchange for a refund for the damaged doll. They refused stating that their customer service wasn't working and could not promise I would get the next doll for half price. They wanted me to take the doll apart and fix it myself. They advised that I use a certain type of glue which I don't have. I started a return request explaining what happened and I was promised a full refund. Now the company wants me to ship it back to them and they will give me a refund as soon as possible. My question is that since the doll arrived damaged due to their poor packing why should I have to spend more of my money to send a broken doll back to them knowing they will just resell it to another customer. The doll cannot be repaired. Shouldn't they have to give me a refund or at least a partial refund
without me sending the broken doll back? I'm sure hy reading the other bad reviews for this company they will blame me for the damage to the doll and refuse to give me a refund. Since the doll is broken I said I would just keep it. I want to stop them from
reselling it.

cheating someone else. Can I just keep it and get a refund according to your money back guarantee? The policy states that in certain situations, like a broken doll that I shouldn't have to send it back.
