Returning a defective item when I’m not at USA

I’ve bought a PS2 game from a seller and the game was listed as “like new”. The item was delivered to United States, but I’ve the possibility to play it and check it on another country and when I see the disc it has clear signs of delamination and when you try to play the game in English it frozen shortly playing the first level and in other languages it freezes on the loading screen of the first level.
Sending the item back from where I am now it would cost twice as the game and it seems unpractical. I want to eBay to analyze my case with a real person but that’s not happening, it automatically ask me to send the item back

You lose your buyer protection if the item is sent to a freight forwarder and then sent onto you. But you can try this anyway:

Go to My ebay > Purchase History

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. ebay sends you a link to print out the label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

If the seller is from another country, s/he will have to send enough funds to cover return shipping, because the seller cannot provide a shipping label good in this country, or refund in full without having you return the item. If the seller does neither, click on the link to Ask ebay to step in, when it shows up in the case.

Since the item was originally sent to a freight forwarder, the return shipping label will be from the freight forwarder address to the seller. You will have to get the item back to the freight forwarder and have them use the label to send back to the seller.
