returned item then repurchased
my buyer returned the item stating that I'd not mentioned the pinholes in the corners (it was a poster); I refunded him and relisted the item once I received it back from him. He purchased it again at a much lower price. Just confused as to why he didn't just ask for a price adjustment...is he trying to pull something over on me? Any help is appreciated. I just feel like he's trying to scam me or something!

inceptions
Mentor3 years agoMaybe he didn't know he could ask for a price adjustment. Maybe after thinking about it and seeing the poster out there again at a better price, it made sense to him to re-purchase. It could be one of all sorts of reasons. Does it matter? You need to send the item to your buyer no matter what the reason is.

OP3 years agoI already did send it again - I was just wondering why he wouldn't have asked for an adjsutment. He is a veteran user of buying and selling. Just dont want to be scammed again.

OP3 years agoAnd, as suspected, he tried to get me to refund him saying that the package was damaged from the Post Office and telling me he "hoped I had insurance on the item" I think he had a damaged poster, wanted a better one, and did the old switcheroo. Not buying it and eBay refunded him - at least I didn't have to!!

OP3 years agoI did resend it and just as I suspected, he asked for a refund saying the box was damaged in shipping. I did not issue the refund and eBay refunded him...at least I didn't have to refund him as I knew it was a scam.
