Returned item harvested for parts
I am a seller that sold a vintage tech item, and I recorded video of the item working before the sale. The buyer claimed it arrived not functioning. I went through the return process and upon return I see that the item has a couple factory seals broken that were over screws that open the device. I have pictures of before and after the sale. The device was opened and obviously harvested for parts. I also confirmed that the buyer is employed as an expert in the tech field for this device. How do I manage this crime? I plan to call the police tomorrow, but am unsure how they can help. Is there a way to report crimes like this within eBay, so I am not stuck paying hundreds of dollars to this individual that defrauded me?
