After spending 45 painful minutes on phone with eBay because of this issue I had to hang up because of their once again steller customer service. In the past year I have sold about 100 sports cards. I always ship them out in a 4x8 and is usually .5-.75 of an inch weighing between 40-60 grams. I have never had an issue until the past month I have had 3 returned after paying the $1.32 standard envelope fee with above dimensions. All 3 said I owed additional $6.58-$7.80. The rocket scientists at eBay tell me the issue is that my dimensions don't match their standard envelope parameters which are 6x11x1 3 0z. I tried telling them those are the max limits but sir you said yours was 4x8x.6 38 grams. That doesn't match what are standard envelopes are. I had to ask them if they were messing with me?? Again I said those are the max limits what part of that do you not understand?? Sir, I do understand! I had to hang up. Anyways can someone tell me why all of the sudden I have 3 cards returned to me using the $1.32 standard envelope when I clearly fall within the parameters dictated by eBay? Thank you.

Mentor4 months agoeBay does not have a way to account for grams....they use pounds and ounces. So if you are entering 38 into the shipping calculator that is essentially saying it weighs 38 ounces or a little over 2 pounds

Mentor4 months agoIf you are trying to enter 32 grams into the shipping system you are causing a problem. The shipping system dose not use grams for weight only ounces and pounds. So entering 32 will tell the system you are shipping 32 ounces which is above the limit for the Standard Envelope.
