I returned a purchase for a refund. The item didnt even match (earrings). I sent pictures of the earrings along with my receipt showing tracking number. Both seller and I agreed she received them. She was supposed to refund but said ebay hadn’t given her the money.. ebay closed the case and she refuses to refund my money and says its too late. I haven’t any way to contact ebay as they refuse to answer their phones! Now what??

·1 year agoThis actually can be confusing for a seller who isn’t familiar with the process. They are supposed to refund, THEN eBay releases the original payment. In the end everyone is made whole, but it can appear to a seller that they’re not.

Mentor1 year agoIf you opened an Item Not as Described Return Request seller must pay for the return label whether your funds have cleared or not. After the third day you should have gone back and asked ebay to step in to force the seller to do this or ebay would have just refunded without a return required. Since you apparently didn't do this the case expired and now you will have to file a new one with the payment processor, but you will not get your return postage back, only the amount you originally paid.
