return to china address more expensive than purchased help!!!!
I want to return 2 items to seller, he gave me the return address info for me to return and pay the shipping. I made 37.00 for the each outfit and each package is 66.00 to return to seller each!!!!! Seller keeps telling me they will refund my 37.00 for each but send them the items. 74.00 refund, and the shipping is 132.00. I need help to get my money back or do I kiss my money goodbye?

OP2 years agoI have until 30yh to return. So I guess the money I spent on the items is a loss. I have talked to many people about this issue. The clerk at post office indicated this is the reason she no longer buys anything on eBay. She said when it's time to return item they are so willing to take return to refund you but they spring you with an address from China that makes impossible to send anything back due to costs. It's always ridiculously more expense than the cheap stuff you bought from them. So will also pass this info onto everyone I know and meet. eBay is impossible to contact for help.

If you selected doesn't fit on the return then eBay is going to say that you have to pay return shipping to the LOCATION it was shipped form. So if the China seller shipped from a US warehouse then that's where you return the item. Sellers can NOT require a buyer to return to a different country even for remorse return ( wrong size).
If you had selected doesn't match pictures or description then the SELLER pays return shipping. But it's tricky to get them to pay for it as they have to send the money to your PayPal account to pay the return shipping BEFORE you pay for the shipping label. The China sellers usually just refund without a return required when it's not as described return ( doesn't match pictures or description)
When shopping if you filter by US only then you do get sellers that are shipping from the US. However some sellers in other countries have warehouses in the US so you have to check their feedback profile page to see where they are located, I know that this is a hassle.
Your best option would be to contact CS on Social Media as the agents are more experienced and see if they will force the seller to refund if they shipped from a US location.

If you chose chat you will have to answer the bots questions and then type AGENT to try and get past it.
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.

OP2 years agoYou are truly heaven sent, I reached out for a call and hot one a minute later. This has been escalated and going to be resolved. They will request usa address from seller, I will get a refund. I will wait 5 days then move forward with the return or not. But the refund will be issued. The agent was very helpful.
I want to thank you for your emails, I would not have resolved this on my own, I was giving up with no end in sight. You are a rock star thank you.

That determines who has to pay return shipping.
Once you reply I will tell you what your rights are as a buyer.

OP2 years agoI indicated the material was cheap of very low quality and that the size was not as specified, it was too small to be the size it listed. Which in all reality I don't care to send back and pay shipping if it was in the USA. The problem is they were happy to give me a refund so just return to china. I went to post office and the cheapest way to send with tracking is 66.00 for each package. I have 2. that is crazy a rip off
