return stamp album by buyer because smells musty. I stated "no returns" in description.

Question

I have no way to check if any mint stamps are missing. EBay inserted "returns OK".%

@8979jerry The listing says buyer pays returns for remorse returns.

If the buyer filed a not as described refund request then YOU pay return shipping and refund.

Either way I am sorry to say you are getting your stamp album back and will have to issue a refund.

If it's a buyers remorse return where the buyer pays return shipping then you can withhold the original shipping cost.

If it's a not as described return under the eBay Money Back Guarantee you have to refund the FULL amount.
