Return Shipping Label Change?!?! Help?!?!
Hello Ebay Sellers,
I have sent several return labels over the years. It seems as if the return label process has changed, and I cannot "auto-generate" a label to give the buyer, to ship the item back to me through the ebay return process. This is now asking me to input the information into the return portal, or upload an image of the return label. This is for the "Ebay Standard Envelope" also that is $0.69 in cost. I do not know how to generate an Ebay Standard Envelope from the buyer to my PO box by manually generating this.
Can someone please help. This is something that has been an unnecessary update that has cost me a half of day of work to try to get a buyer a label for a $2.09. I cannot stand unnecessary updates.... thank you kindly in advance. I just want to make this right for the buyer. I hope this can help some other unfortunate soul like myself that runs into this new "update" ... lord....

Mentor1 year ago@ezvj0dv eBay Standard Envelope can NOT be used for returns as it is metered mail and not true tracking. You have to use Ground Advantage which will have end to end tracking.
Was the card damaged in shipment? If yes then you just refund the buyer and then file a PIP insurance claim.

OP1 year agoWhen did this change take effect? I have for the past 5 years probably sent over 50 return labels for cards purchased under $1.50, including less than 2 months ago. Tracking was generated, provided, all through the returns process on a Ebay Standard Envelope for $0.69, and then the item showed as delivered to my PO Box... unless there was something that I was missing.
Why was this ultimately changed or has it always been this way? I could have been generating labels automatically for USPS Ground unknowingly. I will have to look back at this and see.

Mentor1 year agoI may be mistaken. Let me ask the eBay Community Team to verify. I would think it would be a bad way to handle a return since the tracking is not always read by the sorting equipment.
