Return shipping label
I understood that if a buyer received something that did not fit because they ordered the wrong item that we would only have to pay half of the return shipping label. Ebay just charged me the full amount for the return shipping label. And as previously, I asked to speak to an agent and they claim they can’t get through. Does anybody have any help with this?

Where did you get the understanding that you would only pay half the shipping for the return?
Below is a link to eBay's policy on handling returns as a seller:

Mentor9 months agoHi @cmdallas
Sometimes eBay will cover all or part of a return refund, but that is not a standard practice.

OP9 months agoThis is what Ebay states for return labels:
The 50% reduction in eBay labels applies only when a buyer changes their mind after
purchasing an item and wants to return it.
If a buyer wishes to return an item because it doesn’t fit their vehicle, we’ll cover the cost of the
return shipping under eBay Guaranteed Fit. If the buyer reports that the item arrived damaged
or doesn’t match the listing description, the seller is responsible for the full cost of the return
label.

Yes, an item that qualifies for the Guaranteed to Fit program is treated differently. From your original post, it didn't sound like this was a part for a vehicle. (I was imagining an article of clothing perhaps.) What was the reason code the buyer used for the return? Also, does this item qualify for Guaranteed to Fit. Not all parts qualify.

OP9 months agoHe said it doesn’t fit it was a motorcycle part pistons and rings. In the FAQs as what I sent you it states they should have paid for the return shipping.

I looked at a few of your items, and those did not qualify for Guaranteed to Fit. At the top of those listings, you see this:
For parts that are guaranteed to fit, this is displayed:

OP9 months agoThanks I contacted eBay on X and they are saying the guarantee is only for cars and trucks and had to have a green check mark after it is confirmed it did show your example but is for cars and trucks only not motorcycles Geo said motorcycles are not presently in guarantee program.
