Return scam
So an update to my last post .... I made a purchase based of the sellers listing photo of what I thought was going to be an Authentic MLB Nike Dri Fit shirt . They used the stock photos from MLB so it looked Authentic. Once it arrived and I opened you can see it is clearly a very poorly made cheap knock off and not worth what I paid . I contacted the seller and they wrote in very broken English that they would provide me with a refund but for me to wait 2-3 weeks until eBay closes the case , They even provided me with a return label but said to not return it because eBay will give them a bad rating . That just made me suspicious and I didn't want the item anyways even if it was free , Just seemed like they can say they never received the return back from me so they don't need to refund me.
I went to the Post Office with the return label the seller provided and checked with the agent and the address listed on the return label doesn't exist as well as the bar code and tracking number isn't a valid tracking number with any shipper or courier service .
I contacted eBay and they didn't offer much help , They kept saying that since the seller included a return label I have to return it , They didn't seem to understand it was a fake return address and a fake bar code and tracking number and that the Post office wouldn't take it and even if they did where would it get delivered to since the address doesn't exist , Finally eBay said they would send me the sellers info so I can return it to the seller.
I get the eBay message with the sellers name and address and it says it is from a Tom D from New Hampshire .... No way is this the correct info on this seller , The way the sellers original message was worded this is from someone in China not someone named Tom from the United States , Now I have to pay to ship this horrible shirt back to some guy named Tom in NH and I'm sure that this scammer seller opened a fake account using just some random guys info .
Something needs to be done with scammers like this .
