Return requested past the 30 day window

Question

I bought an item through ebay that turned out not to be what I needed. I had trouble finding the procedure for asking for a return and didn't file with the seller until after their return time window. I have contacted the seller both through the ebay portal and directly through their website. Apparently since the case is closed, they are not willing to revisit it.
My case is just that the part is a simple molded plastic piece--it is in sellable condition just as much now as it was when I recieved it.
Any suggestions for an avenue to persue outside of the normal channels, which are now exhausted?

Since you have passed the 30 days to file a Return Request on Ebay, your only option would be to file a dispute through the funding source you used to pay for the item.
