Question

So I got a storage unit of a lady who passed in the unit I found some older iPad and laptops all was password protected. So I listed the as a lot for parts only and sold. then got a return request because they couldn't get into them cause of password. So what I'm asking is should I relist these or find another way to sell?

@luckylocker80 I personally would sell those elsewhere on a site where it's easy to get cash on pick up.

I do not see any ipads or laptops under sold for the last 90 days for this id.

eBay does have new seller protections for listings listed as parts or not working that was announced at eBay Open. While this does offer more protection on eBay a buyer can still file a chargeback.

Beginning in October, buyers of â€œas-isâ€ listings will see clear, prominent messaging of â€œFor Parts or Not Workingâ€ and â€œNo Returns Acceptedâ€ at every stage â€” from the item page through checkout to post-purchase â€” to help ensure buyers understand they are purchasing an as-is, for parts item.
For these items, returns based on remorse will be completely blocked and not-as-described claims will face stricter requirements.
The claim window will also be shortened from 30 to 3 days on these listings.
