Return Request
I received an item that was not as pictured in sellers listing. Seller said that they would send out correct item but has since ceased communication. They do not accept returns and I am unable to process a request due to this. This also prevented me from requesting eBay to step in to resolve this issue. What can I do to get my money back?

Mentor2 years agoYour post is not clear. If you did not open a return, you can't ask eBay to step in.
If it's not too late...
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
If you allowed the 30 day deadline to pass, you can open a case through PayPal if you paid that way. Otherwise, check with your credit card company.
For the future, it's usually better NOT to ask for a replacement. Ask for a return for an item that is not as described. Once that's taken care of, repurchase it from the same or another seller.
