Return Refused By Seller
We purchased an item that was listed as "used," and described as being in "good" condition, though the listing mentioned it had a crack in the case and did not include the power cable. The seller does not accept returns, but it was not stated anywhere in the listing that the item was "as is" or "untested." The seller is refusing to refund us because, as they said in their listing, they didn't have the power cable, and therefore we should have come to the conclusion on our own that it wasn't tested.
Before we wait a whole week for their window to close and then go to the trouble of getting support involved, we want to post here and make sure we're in the know: Do they have the right to refuse our return on these grounds? Whose side is eBay more likely to take in this situation?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mentor3 years agoGo to My ebay > Purchase History and select RETURN THIS ITEM. You have up to 30 days from receipt of the item. For the reason, select Not as Described. You will need to click on More actions. There is no such thing on ebay as "as is". The seller will have 3 days to reply. If no reply, then click the link to Ask ebay to step in. If the seller accepts the return, he is responsible for supplying a prepaid shipping label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and make sure the carrier scans the label. Once tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, he has 2 days to refund you. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
