I have a 14K gold pinky ring for sale. It's engraved with my husband's initials and has sentimental value for me, in addition to its monetary value. Someone wrote to say that they're interested in the ring and the listing is set to accept a return within 14 days. They want to take the ring to their jeweler to see if it can be polished and engraved, and if it cannot, they want to know if they could return it. Because of the value on the ring, it looks like it will go through eBay's authentication process first.
Not sure what to do here, would love some advice from the community. TIA!

It's up to you if you want to encourage this buyer. They can return it.
I would likely have a no-return policy on that item since it is being authenticated.
