Return policy with a pick up only furniture sale.

Question

I am listing a piece of furniture and even though it is pick-up only, I can not list it without a 14 day return policy. I would assume that the buyer would be able to examine the item on pick-up and if they were unhappy, not take the item and the sale would be cancelled and refunded. I notice other sellers selling similar items do not accept returns. I don't seem to be offered that option as I create my listing. Does anyone know why?

I see a 2 pc dress that has a return policy of 14 days, with shipping and with Local pick up.

For a piece of furniture with local pickup only, you are correct that if the buyer does like it when s/he comes to pickup, s/he can just refuse to pick it up, and you will refund him/her. When you list the item, at the bottom of the listing form is a list of your preferences. You can click on the EDIT option, and change the return policy to No Returns for that item, and then submit the listing.
