Return, order by mistake and seller didn't or couldn't recall the package
I ordered a part that cost about US$29 and $34 to ship. I realized I ordered the wrong part right after the seller marked "shipped" and immediately notified the seller requesting to recall the package. Seller didn't respond.
I took the unopened package to the Post Office and was told it would cost $34 to mail it back. I'm not clear if I will be refunded the entire payment of $53 or just the $29. If the latter it makes no sense since cost to ship exceeds what the refund will be. Reading other comments in this regard, seller would incur the cost for return shipping if I clicked "not as described" but that wouldn't have been honest.
So to decide whether to ship it back or not, will my refund include the shipping cost to me or will it just be the cost of the unit?
Thanks

·3 years agoBecause you ordered by mistake and there is nothing wrong with the item, you will be refunded only for the cost of the item. The seller may refund the original shipping, but they are not required to do so.
