Return of Non-Working Item (Not as advertised).
I just purchased and received a guitar amp. It has a "short" in the electronics, and doesn't function properly. I contacted the seller, reporting the problem, with photos, indicating the item could have been dropped in shipment. The seller has a "does not accept returns" policy. However, the seller offered a 50% refund, or a return of the item (with no further comment). I don't really wish to keep a non-functioning item that I may not be able to repair, even at half price. The seller also said I could return the item. I asked the seller how that process would work, and asked if I would then receive a full refund. I haven't heard back in 48 hours. I won't return the item until I hear from the seller, but I have questions:
1. Who pays for the return shipping? I don't feel I should be obligated to pay return shipping for a defective item.
2. If the seller pays return shipping, does the seller send me a shipping label? I'm not sure how that works.
3. Am I being unreasonable to expect a full refund, and expect the seller to also pay return shipping for an item that is not fully operational and does not function as intended?
Thanks in advance for your help.
