Return of item that customer tampered with.

Question

I sold a tail housing for a transmission used and as is. The customer did have to wait for me to ship (vacation. ) he started out trying to cancel order after I shipped, then he tells me he had to remove the seal and bushing. And there is a Grove in it. I have no way to prove it was there before he tampered with item. He has sent very aggressive messages and now is trying ro return it. What can I do to denie the return.

Has buyer opened a Return Request? If so don't let it time out or you will lose the item and your money. Since buyer has admitted altering the part, contact ebay and have them look at his message and see if they will deny his return request for doing so. Otherwise, if you want it back accept the return.
