Return of defective pump
I bought a pump that only worked twice before failing. I contacted toe seller who told me to check the intake , which I did. After contacting them again wanting to return the item they only asked me to be more polite! I have been trying to get ebay to step in but cannot connect with an agent.

Mentor11 months agoOpen a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, defective. Seller will pay for the return, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved.

OP11 months agoI did that. The seller dragged out the return so that the case expired before any resolution was found. They then stopped communicating with me. I assume they knew that if they were able to let the case expire that eBay policies do nothing once it has expired. I have used eBay for many years buying and selling and never had a situation where I had to utilize a return request, so I was unaware of terms and limits of eBay's return policy. It wasn't the best way to learn about the return policies, but now I am fully aware should I ever run into another need to do a return!

Mentor11 months agoNow you know never to let a seller string you along. However, you can still file a dispute through the payment processor. Do this now and make sure to follow the instructions carefully.
