Return of defective home appliances

Question

Regarding 10-12439-33075, after receiving the product, I confirmed that it did not work due to an initial defect and contacted the seller. After that, I suddenly fell ill and was hospitalized for a month. When I was discharged from the hospital and tried to return the product, it was rejected.
Does eBay not accept returns of products with initial defects like this after one month has passed? That would be too sad.
