Return of a product
I returned a sports card as it was damaged and not as described. The seller accepted my return and has offered to replace with the same card in better condition instead of a refund. I returned the product and now they’re saying I need to close my request in order to send the new card. This was sent in my messages not the return history chat. If I do that am i screwing myself out of the money and potentially replacement card? Can this be done within the return process? I’ve never returned anything on eBay but this was not a cheap card. Thanks for the help.

The seller is lying to you. You do NOT close your request until you have either received a refund or a replacement.
After 3 days from the day that you filed the Return Request you can go back to your request to have Ebay step in to help you.
