Return item damaged in transit
I have been issued a part refund for a car part that I purchased and returned on eBay. I returned the item as it didn't solve my problem. I have contacted the seller to ask why I've been charged 30% of the price of the item. Their response was to say that the car part had been returned damaged! I was careful to ensure that I packaged the item up which replicated the way they packed it up. I couldn't have been more careful. I used the Royal Mail QR code to return. So the item left me in the same condition as when it arrived. What rights do I have? I feel miffed that this company have chosen to suggest that the item was damaged in my company rather than to consider that it was damaged in transit. Which I struggle to believe.
