I returned an itembecasue to the seller's listing got the wrong measurements. I did get a refund but I paid for the shiping delivery cost about $10.00 and later I paid USPS $4.00 toreturn the item. The purchase cost was $19, plus $11 for delivery totaling $30. So $30 plus $4 equals $34. Yet, the seller only refunded $19 so I ended up with a 40% loss. I found this issue to be unfair because it was the sller fault to list the wrong measurements. ANy comments...

Mentor1 year agoEverything depends on the reason you used to open the return request.
If you open a return request for "did not fit" the buyer pays the return shipping and the seller can withhold the original (outgoing shipping) You will receive a refund for the purchase price.
If you opened a return for "not as described" (In the case the seller stated the wrong measurements) the seller pays for the return shipping and the seller refunds you in full, including original, outgoing shipping.
There is also one more case the applies to returns. If a buyer opens a faulty claim for "not as described" and return an item damaged or not in the same condition as sent, they can withhold a percentage of the purchase price.
