return if defective
I'm considering an item listed as open box. Seller does not accept returns. But Ebay's policy says if it is faulty, I can return it even if the seller does not accept returns. So can I go ahead and purchase this item hoping it will work?

The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. So you are safe to make the purchase.
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request.
Here's what you need to do:
You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Item is defective", "Arrived damaged", "Missing Parts" OR "Doesn't Match photos and description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.
