Return fraud from buyer
I shipped an item to a buyer and the buyer requested a return and claims the item isn't in the package. However, I know for a fact the item was in the package. His message does seem kinda scammy. Is this a new form of scamming??? What can I do as the seller?

No, not new. It was happening back when eBay was first born. Unfortunately, there are dishonest people that we all have to deal with from time to time.
All you can really do is report the buyer.
If the buyer opens the right type of return case, you will have no means to fight it, and eBay will force you to refund, in full.
This is why the advice most given here is: do not list anything that you cannot afford to lose/give away.
Sorry this happened to you.
