Return Dispute
I sold an item in as-is condition that was pre-owned. I made no claims about the condition of the item. When asked via private message whether the item could perform as a game ball, before the buyer won the bid I explicitly indicated the item had never been tested and we could make no guarantee. Buyer is now asking to return.
I feel I was quite clear that we could not guarantee the condition and made no misrepresentation. What does the community recommend?

Mentor3 years agoUnless you state the item isn't working and is being sold for parts only, the buyer can assume the item is fully functional. Your disclaimer means nothing if the buyer opens a return for not as described.
Ask the buyer to open a return for that reason and refund in full when it gets back to you. You are also responsible for return shipping.
