return defective part
Spin on oil filter adapter for old tractor. Was advertised as free returns. Took a month to get here. Was defective on arrival, not damaged in shipping, but ridiculously poor quality, not possibly functional and made that way. They accepted return request but said that they were unable to purchase return label. Now have asked for my PayPal info. Smells scammy. Only a 20 dollar item, thinking of eating it and hanging it on my shop wall as a reminder of mistakes made. Think that it's **bleep** poor that Ebay lets them make it more difficult to return this than it's worth when they advertise free and easy returns.

Mentor2 years agoIf the item came outside the USA, then they can not send a label, but must send you funds to buy postage, or of course they can just refund without requiring a return. If they want to send you funds for postage then they will need your email address. Make sure to upload the tracking number and ship by the deadline.
If no refund or postage funds, by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this.
