Return an old purchase that you just attempted to use 6 months later.
We purchased a $135 'smart lockbox' from seller, pandemic affected our ability to use it asap so we set it aside.
In the last few days we've tried to use it. It shipped w/o a code to open it. We've spent many days with support from the manufacturer. They stated after much back and forth they'd ask the prior owner for permission to release the access code.
I've also asked seller w/ an Ebay message (via an active Peety15 listing since there is no other way to contact) to please provide the code. _____ This seller has neither given us the code, nor the manufacturer who also contacted seller, nor responded.
Any ideas ? I can't figure out why the seller won't provide the code, nor answer, nor 'release' the smartlock access back to the manufacturer.

OP3 years agoHaving never owned such a device, I didn't realize there was an 'owner' or 'master' code that could only be changed contacting the manufacturer, digressing.
