Return an item to overseas
I purchased a sunglasses from japan but the item is not as described and has deep scratches and lines on lens . I would like to return it but the seller says I can’t send you a shipping label and I have to pay shipping costs and insurance for return it. The seller send me an address that I send back the item to this address ! I don’t know if I ship the item back to seller he will refund me the shipping cost or is it ok I ship the item back to the address that the seller wants . Also eBay says that the seller is responsible to pay for return shipping label. Please help me. Thank you

·3 years agoIf you have filed an INAD, the seller can't provide a return shipping label because they are from another country.
They have to send you the funds upfront to pay the return shipping.
Find out how much it'll cost to ship with full tracking and insurance if the seller wants to pay for it.
Let the seller know through the case how much it is and they'll have to send you the money.
Most of the time it is sent through Pay Pal, so they'll need your Pay Pal email.
If they don't send you the funds, return to the case on day four and ask Ebay to step in.
Don't let them talk you into paying, then they pay you back, because it won't happen and there's nothing Ebay would do.
