return an item

I purchased an item 1/3/2026 and I received it on 1/7/2026 and I noticed once I open the box it was the wrong item I immediately started a return request on the 1/7/2026. now the seller is declining the return request

If you specified " Received wrong item " the seller should not be able to decline the return request. If your return request is still open, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you. Find the item in your Purchases . Select See return details Select Ask eBay to step in and help . Select a reason from the dropdown menu, then select Confirm .
