I had to do a return and hadn’t done one before so I sent the lady a full refund by check. Now it looks like there is a hold on my account and they will take the money out of my account and pay her. So I will be paying her double. Tried to get help from customer service but to no avail. What do I do?

Oh, never ever do that.
A) Has she cashed your check? If not cancel the check and refund through eBay.
B) If she *has* cashed your check, then ask her to cancel the return on her end.
You can't cancel the refund, and customer service won't do it. If you can't do A or B above, you will have to refund twice.
