Return
Seller wants a refund on huge dollhouse plus accessories that was smashed during shipping. They sent photos. When shipped I noticed it was forwarded for some reason. I also found it odd that buyer has no feedback ratings. My listing says I accept returns within 14 days with buyer paying shipping. If I refund money who pays for original shipping? Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mentor2 years agoYour return policy does not apply to damaged items. You either approve the return and pay the return shipping, or you refund without asking for the item to be returned.
You refund the buyer, then file a claim with the carrier. USPS ground includes $100 of insurance, unless you added more. The difference is your loss, including the shipping both ways. The buyer may have to take the item to his PO so ask him to keep the item and the box until you hear about your claim.
Ask the buyer to open a not as described return. You can refund without return. If you want the item returned, ask your buyer to print the return label and let you know when he has it, then go to the return and click refund now. After you know about your claim, the buyer can send the return.
