Return
I tried to return an item I ordered, but they told me I couldn't return it without giving me a reason. This is unfair. I've liked eBay for a long time, but I don't plan on using it anymore. You guys lost a good customer because of a $14 item. I'm so uncomfortable, I'm thinking of closing my account now.

Mentor2 years agoeBay didn't sell you the item - one of eBay's millions of sellers sold you the item. Each seller sets his own return policy which is shown on the listing's Shipping, returns, and payments tab. You agreed to the seller's return policy when you made the purchase.
What is the return policy on the listing and why did you want to return it?

Mentor2 years agoHi @peterhan12
We can always return an item that is defective or otherwise ‘not as described’ when we receive it.
However, we cannot always return an item that we just don’t like … or we stopped liking … when the seller has a ‘no return’ policy in the listing.
Also, returns must be requested within 30 days after receiving the item.
Does any of the above explain why your return request was denied?

Did you file a Return Request within 30 days from date of delivery?
If so, what reason did you give when you filed the request?
As long as you filed within 30 days and had a valid reason per Ebay's Money Back Guarantee, Ebay should have been able to step in to help you if the item was covered by the Ebay MBG.
