·2 years agoA typo in entering the bid amount is the ONLY bidder error that may be corrected by retracting the bid. You must rebid the correct amount (the amount you intended to type in the first place) immediately after the retraction goes through. There are time limits (12 hours before the scheduled auction end or 1 hour after the bid was placed, whichever is later, but in no case later than the actual end of the auction) so don't delay.

Did you really make and correct 3 typos in the past 12 months? You need to be more careful in entering the amount. Don't forget to check the decimal divider and the digits before you submit it (there used to always be a confirmation screen to check it again, but those have gotten removed in more and more situations which is NOT a good thing). NEVER be in a hurry to place a bid.
