Retracting a maximum bid
Entered a wrong amount for a maximum bid. I contacted the seller about this matter and they cancelled the maximum bid but that I would need to retract the bid on my end. How is this done after I have contacted the seller?

·3 years agoEither the bid is cancelled/retracted (sellers do the former, bidders the latter) or not. There is no "cancelled the maximum bid" other than fully cancelling the bid (which would also remove all other bids by that bidder on that listing).
A typo in entering the bid amount is the ONLY bidder error that may be corrected by retracting the bid. You must rebid the correct amount (the amount you intended to type in the first place) immediately after the retraction goes through. There are time limits (12 hours before the scheduled auction end or 1 hour after the bid was placed, whichever is later, but in no case later than the actual end of the auction) so don't delay.
