Results of auction sales
Is there a basic function that allows us to see the results of auction sales. If I have a new article that I want to put up for auction, but, I want to see how that article has SOLD before, is there a forum/default where I can find these results?

Mentor1 year agoCredit to you for thinking ahead and researching SOLD items !! People can list their items with any price they want, but that does not mean the items will actually sell at those prices.
There are a few steps to the process.
On a computer (not the cell phone app), near the top of the landing page, you'll see a long blank field that says "search for anything" -- Do Not Use That Field !! To the far right of that field, you'll see the word "Advanced" in a slightly lighter font color. Click on "Advanced".
On the left side of the next screen, you should see a checkmark next to the words "Find Items". If it's not there, click on "Find Items".
Starting at the top of the form, you start adding info and checking boxes that apply.
Start with filling in the keywords you are interested in. Examples: Men's Shoes. Women's Hats. Butterick Pattern. Hot Wheels. Fish Hooks.
Skip to "In this category", where you can tap the down arrow to see a full list of eBay categories. Click whichever one(s) that apply to your search.
In "Search Including", if you click "Sold items", eBay automatically includes "Completed items".
You could fill in price limits for this search, but if you want to learn all the sold prices, just skip those fields.
Under "Buying Format", click on "Auction".
You could click on any other option if you think it will help your search. (I usually don't bother with anything other than keywords, categories, and sold items.)
Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue button that says "Search".
eBay will show you items that meet your description that were sold in the Auction format.

Mentor1 year agoDo a search for the item, then in the left hand margin select the Completed or Sold filter.
