Restricted old Account

Question

Been on Ebay 25 years but no activity for a year, went to sell new item and i get the message

"It appears that you haven’t provided the required information to confirm your identity or financial data"

I updated and verified all info suggested and retried to create listing - same result.

Then tried to have Agent call via Chat - submitted 3 times as agent could not reach me, spam and settings on phone checked still would not work...

How else can i lift restriction? btw I was never sent a message saying i was restricted...

@jtbuck814 Sorry for the delay in replying, life has been busy.

eBay does sometimes require members that have not used the site for awhile to reverify information.

You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance.

However I recommend checking a few things as eBay will NOT tell you what doesn't match for security reasons.

1. Verify that name and address on your eBay account matches your checking account and government ID EXACTLY. I had to had my middle name to my eBay account so it would match my checking account and drivers license. You will need to provide your SS#.

2. Make sure the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for these type of deposits. Verify this with your bank.

3. Contact Customer service

Then Type Verify Checking account. In the chat bot box on the lower right.

Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
