Has anyone ever had their account restricted as to the amount whereas you have to call eBay in order to get the restriction removed? I'VE BEEN AN eBay customer for over 17 years with 100%ratings and for the last year or so I have had to call them so that I can have restrictions removed so that I can spend MY OWN MONEY

I know that this is frustrating but it helps to protect your account security.
When you talk to eBay after returning from a long absences then they usually will "open" your account up again.

OP3 years agoI never said that I had an absence on eBay. I have been a continuous member for seventeen plus years. I have purchased more on ebay than I have sold. Speaking verbally Today with a representative of eBay It seems that they violated their own terms of service by not. Emailing me or letting me know In the my eBay portion of my account that I was being restricted. They then stated that "it's for my own good". They don't want me or anyone to spend more than they are " comfortable" with. HUH? WHOSE COMFORT? IT'S MY MONEY. An auction site trying to NOT get the best/
Highest price for their clients. **bleep**.
