MentorSep 8, 2026 at 9:33 PMIf you do not have a current driver's license, or passport, you can go to your local DMV and get an ID card with your photo on it to satisfy the government's Know Your Customer mandate.

I'm not about to spend $25.00 and 2+ hrs at the DMV so that eBay can continue information gathering.
Flexing corporate muscle withholding (stealing) payouts and restricting account access.
Give me one good reason that eBay requires a pic ID... Security? That's BS
eBay if you're listening; pay up and delete my account, no hard feelings.

KYC means Know Your Customer and sometimes Know Your Client. KYC or KYC check is the mandatory process of identifying and verifying the client's identity when opening an account and periodically over time.
