Reserve price is an optional listing upgrade, and you are charged the fee as soon as you create the listing, even if you ended the listing.

Mentor3 years ago@ammtt87 Anytime you see a fee mentioned at the bottom of the screen before you submit the listing that is a non refundable fee that is due even if your item doesn't sell.
You can try contacting eBay customer service and see if they will give you a courtesy refund of the fee.
Here's how to contact eBay customer service for assistance so they can sort this out for you:
eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat using this link:
1. CLICK THIS LINK: https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4191&st=10
2. Choose your contact method from the left hand side of the page.
If you are located outside of US or Canada then you will need to use the Chat option or Social Media
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.
