resellers
i usually track prices on items before i buy and have come across some great deals sellers who offer items provided by third parties.
But sometimes I'd like more transparency about folks selling in this way.
It would help if eBay noted that the item sold was not in the possession of the seller. Don't know if they could or would or even if they are interested in providing this sort of info to the buyer, but I'd sure like to see it before i press the buy button.

Mentor3 years agoIt's a violation of policy for eBay sellers to drop ship from other retailers (for example, Amazon or Walmart). It's a violation of policy for sellers to sell items they don't have in their possession unless they list the item as a pre-sale or they drop ship from a wholesale supplier.
eBay doesn't know the seller is in violation of policy unless the buyer reports it.
