Resealed Pokémon pack
I recently purchased a ex Dragon blister pack, I opened the blister and found a card was missing. Looking at the pack closer it was obvious it was resealed and tampered with. I don’t have any video of me opening the pack. Do I have any recourse? Can I get my money back or should I just take it as a loss?

Mentor4 months ago@jordaluc_7 How long have you had the trading cards? You only have 3 business days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for trading cards.
You may have other protections through your payment method for an item that is significantly not as described.

OP4 months agoDarn, it’s been a week, I had a business trip I had to attend so I just decided to deal with it when I got back. I reached out the seller and left negative feedback. Should I reach out to EBay?

Mentor4 months ago@jordaluc_7. I'm sorry but eBay customer service can't extend the 3 day limit.
I would file a chargeback with your payment method. The seller will receive a much deserved $20 dispute fee in addition to having to refund you if you win the case.

OP4 months agoI will do this, I don’t have any video so hopefully I can win. From now on I’m opening any packs on video.

Mentor4 months ago@jordaluc_7. I don't know about your payment method but eBay won't take videos. However as long as you file the refund request within 3 days using the reason doesn't match description or photos the seller has no choice but to accept the return.

OP4 months agoI contacted EBay and they initiated a return, they said to return what I can. Hopefully the seller doesn’t try anything. I’ve heard where they can threaten you and such.

Mentor4 months ago@jordaluc_7 The seller can't do anything to you other than deny the return request case. Which they most likely will, that's why I didn't suggest it.
If they deny the return request eBay can not force a refund because of the 3 day limit.
Be sure to ONLY return using the eBay return label from an official case or you have NO proof the item was returned.

OP4 months agoI have not received a reply from the seller and the seller is new, only started in March. Probably a red flag.

OP4 months agoI collected for a bit in 2014 but got away from it, I decided to try again but didn’t realize how bad it has gotten in the Pokemon community. I’m only purchasing from sellers with good feedback from now on.
