Requesting credit back on eBay shipping label after buyer paid and shortly ask to cancel
I just realized this after a buyer paid for item and I created shipping label using eBay shipping labels , within a minute after she asked to cancel, she realized she did not want this shipped at her old address .
I refund cost credit back her account and asked her to please update address on her account, she did and re-order same item. It wasn't until later on that I realized that even though I credit her back I also needed to go to my Shipping Label format and void the label, I never did this until now I just assumed since I credit her back that the shipping label would be credit back to me, not so. I did not realize that I need to go and void the shipping label myself....duh, why did I not know that??? Am I the only stupid one? Has anyone else out there had the same happen. Thank you 🙂

I'm sure you're not the only one who has assumed this.
You can void a label within 5 days of purchase here:

It will take about 14-21 days for the refund to come through.

OP2 years agoYes, I now know I can void shipping label within 5 days, not only this but even though I cancel the transaction and was unable to cancel the shipping label because too much time had lapsed, it showed up on my Seller performance as a defect! I cancelled the transaction but not the shipping label it registered as not being scan! I contacted Selling dept. 3 times before they finally removed it! Crazy
