Requested returns questions
Hello, I sold a plane that was sealed in original box. I also have a no return policy. I just had a customer request for a return/refund they said it was due to it not flying and nose driving when trying to take it off and it being total junk they requested on behave of the eBay buyers guarantee. Which it saying that my plane did not match my description which is Impossible since the plane was brand new and sealed in box so there’s is absolutely nothing wrong with the plane. Maybe it’s user error. I did think about accepting and giving full or partial refund but now thinking about too me it sounds again like maybe user error and they just can’t fly it right and have buyers remorse so it make’s me not want to gave a refund at all but it almost looks like eBay is only giving me the two options but I don’t think that’s right since the plane did indeed match the description. I’m not sure what to think or do about this customer now. What are your thoughts?

Mentor1 year ago@true-light-creations If the buyer files a refund request saying that the item is not as described then you need to accept the return and issue the return shipping label. OR refund without a return.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee overrules your returns policy. Your return policy only applies if the buyer files a buyer's remorse return: Doesn't fit, changed mind, etc.
If you do not accept the return willingly then the buyer can ask eBay to step in and forces a refund. You do not get your seller's fees back, you get a defect and the buyer may be allowed to keep the item.
If the buyer abuses the eBay MBG in some way then you can report them but it doesn't get your money back:

Sellers have protection for return abuse if they offer FREE RETURN shipping on their listings OR if they are a Top Rated seller and offer 30 days or greater returns. The seller can then reduce the refund amount by up to 50% if the buyer sends a different item or somehow reduces the value of the item.
