Request that a package wasnt delivered.
Hello,
I recently received a request from a buyer that their package was never delivered. The tracking number for this package was Fedex 61299998825446379604. This package was delivered and I did nothing wrong and should not be held liable. This package was either stolen or the buyer is being dishonest, both are not my problems. The request number is 5328477159. I am hoping ebay closes this request because once again, there is zero chance I should be held liable for a package that was marked delivered. Thank you

Mentor2 years agoRespond to the claim with the tracking #. It would close in your favor as long as the tracking shows delivery to the zip code on the buyer’s payment.
Send the buyer a sympathetic note explaining that they need to contact fedex for assistance. Fedex can look up exactly where the package was delivered. If misdelivered, they will try to retrieve it.

OP2 years agoYeah thank you. The buyer acknowledges that it is marked delivered but they are claiming its my job to get in touch with fedex and file a claim. I don;t really see why they cant do it as i dont want to deal with this especially over a $15 item.

No, that is not your job, the Buyer is local to the carrier who delivered it. The more you do the more they will want you to do so you have to let them know eBay's records and the Carriers records show it was delivered to the address on file. Sellers have nothing to do with the destination's security or dealing with LOCAL carriers.
Since you are a new Seller the Buyer could very easily be seeing how much they can do to try and make you cave in and simply refund them even if the item is one $ 15 ... check their Feedback to see if there might be any hints of issues with other Sellers.
