Request made to wait to ship?
My customer purchased an item from me but left instructions that I am not permitted to ship this item until May. Nearly 60 days from now. I've never received such a request and don't know how to respond.
TIA

Inform your customer that, under eBay policies, you are required to ship within your set handling time and that delayed shipping of the nature requested is impossible.
If you do not ship within your handling time, eBay will issue a shipping defect to your selling account.
In this case, I would then cancel the transaction citing either “buyer requested†or “problem with address.â€
While neither is accurate, canceling with the reason “out of stock or damaged†is also not accurate and you will incur a defect to your selling account. This situation is not your fault and you should not be penalized.
