Request for return.
I had a request for return on an a listing that I sold. The request mentions that the item was not as described. I mention in the listing the points that the buyer brings up. 1 of the points was a sterling cup. I said it was weighted inside the listing. The other one was a tigers eye pendant, and I said in the listing that pendant was stainless steel. I AM new to selling on ebay, and this buyer has multiple thousands feedback. My only options are refund, or partial refund. Can I get any advise on this matter?

OP4 months agoThanks for the reply. I find it a bit ridiculous that someone with 30k+ feedback did not read the description for the listing. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth issuing a refund for something I clearly disclosed.
I will follow your advise as what to do. Thank you again for your time.

Did you send a label and do you have the item back?
If not, don't refund anything at this time.
Just accept the return and send a label.
wait for the item to be returned.

To accept a return:
We'll then ask the buyer to ship the item back to you.
Once you receive the returned item, you'll need to issue their refund within 2 business days. To do this, go to the case in your Returns dashboard and choose Refund buyer.

Once you have your item back, you can issue a refund. If you are able to issue a partial refund (which usually is available to new sellers) you follow the guidelines on this page. If the item is returned in the same condition, then you deduct nothing, even if the buyer was wrong about the description.
