Request for Order Cancellation
Dear eBay Support Team,
I am facing an issue with canceling order number 335779289637-0. I submitted a cancellation request (cancellation number: 5388596552) within the first minute after receiving the notification about winning the auction. However, the seller is refusing to confirm the cancellation, even though the item could not have been shipped, as there was not enough time for order processing.
I have already purchased a similar item from another seller and no longer need this order. According to eBay’s policy, a seller can reject a cancellation request only if the item has already been shipped, which is not possible in this case.
I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue and approving the order cancellation. If you need any additional information, I am happy to provide it.

·1 year agoThat is NOT what the rule says. It says the buyer cannot request it if the item has shipped. It does not require the seller to accept the REQUEST. If the item was shipped (e.g. a label made) then you would not have been able to do the cancellation request.
The seller is under ABSOLUTELY no obligation to cancel at your request. You are obligated to honor your bid and pay for the item you won, even though you "no longer need this order." Guess what, the seller doesn't need the item either, that's why s/he is selling it. You should not have bought a duplicate unless you needed more than one while you had a bid pending. Stop trying to make your mistake into the seller's problem.

Sellers are not obligated to agree to a cancellation request from the buyer even if the item has not been shipped.
Don't bid/purchase items on Ebay unless you are prepared to follow through with your commitment.
Edited to add:
According to Ebay - (for sellers) If you receive a notification from eBay that the buyer has requested to cancel the order, you'll have 3 days to approve or decline the request.
It says nothing about shipping status
